Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory

Batter up! At the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created. Be sure to swing by! It’s been described as “one of the greatest sports museums in the world!”

Following the visit to the museum, the group will proceed to the Evan Williams Distillery for a tour and a tasting.

Note: This will be a walking tour, with the distance from the Omni Louisville Hotel to the Museum just under 1 mile and a 15–20-minute walk. It’s a 5-minute walk from the Museum to the distillery. Finally, from the distillery back to the Omni is a half-mile and a 10–15-minute walk.

Monday Afternoon, April 17 

Churchill Downs and Kentucky Derby Museum Tour & Bourbon Tasting

Experience the exciting and colorful spectacle of thoroughbred racing at legendary Churchill Downs. Your visit will include a guided tour of one of the most hallowed shrines of American sports, followed by self-guided immersion in two floors of permanent, specialty, and interactive exhibits in the museum.

You will conclude the afternoon by enjoying a facilitated 1-hour tasting, choosing from a half-dozen of Kentucky’s finest bourbons.

Optional Dine Arounds

Small-group reservations will be offered on Sunday and Tuesday evenings at restaurants recommended by ACMA Fellows in Louisville, offering a variety of cuisines. The dine arounds are always one of the most popular features of ACMA meetings!
